We offer a comprehensive programme of orientation events to help international students settle in following their arrival in Manchester.

Our Orientation programme will provide you with valuable information about starting your life and studies at Manchester, as well as giving you the opportunity to meet other students.

The programme will give you practical advice and introduce you to the University and the city of Manchester. You will get the opportunity to meet other new students as well as students who have been here for some time.

Sessions on Tuesday, 20 January are mandatory for students coming to us through one of our International Programmes Office schemes – Erasmus+, Study Abroad and Worldwide Exchange – and these are not suitable for any other students.

Otherwise, if you are joining us in January, you are welcome to join us at any of the other events. Our private visit to the John Rylands Library is the only ticketed event. For all other presentations and activities, just come along – there is no need to book.

If you have any questions or concerns please email us at Alternatively, please feel free to ask any questions you may have on our Facebook or Twitter pages.
