Hong Kong

Introduction

The City of Manchester has a strong history of welcoming people from Hong Kong and The University of Manchester has one of the UK’s largest communities for students from the region.

The similarities between the Hong Kong and UK education systems means that students from Hong Kong can apply for direct entry to our degree programmes and do not usually need additional English language qualifications. The University is also very popular for students studying international qualifications such as A Levels or the International Baccalaureate.

Our UoM East Asia Centre is based in Causeway Bay and hosts several popular postgraduate courses and actively engages with our Hong Kong alumni and the wider community.
