Academic entry qualification overview
Normally an honours degree, or the equivalent, from any academic background plus a minimum of three years' postgraduate work experience with strong career progression. If you do not have a first degree, you may be eligible if you have significant work experience.

Young Potential Leaders (YPL)
If you are applying under the Young Potential Leaders entry-route, we require:
- a first class Bachelor's degree or a Bachelor's degree with upper second class results from a Russell Group University, plus a Masters degree with distinction from a Russell Group University
- have less than three years' work experience and be a British citizen

For entry in the academic year beginning September 2015, the tuition fees are as follows:
- MBA (full-time)
UK/EU students (per annum): £40,000 (Fee Collected by School)
International students (per annum): £40,000 (Fee Collected by School)
The fees quoted above will be fully inclusive for the course tuition, administration and computational costs during your studies.
All fees for entry will be subject to yearly review and incremental rises per annum are also likely over the duration of courses lasting more than a year for UK/EU students (fees are typically fixed for International students, for the course duration at the year of entry). Self-funded international applicants for this course will be required to pay a deposit of £1000 towards their tuition fees before a confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS) is issued. This deposit will only be refunded if immigration permission is refused. We will notify you about how and when to make this payment.
Expenses for a single student (estimated):
- Total Living Expenses for one year: £10,630 (£886 per month)
- Total Living Expenses for 19 months: £16,832
Expenses for a student coming to Manchester with their partner/family
- Total Living Expenses for one year: £16,000 (£1,333 per month)
- Total Living Expenses for 19 months: £25,331
A range of part-tuition fee scholarships are available for British, EEA, and international candidates, as well as for candidates with specific industry backgrounds.
Scholarships are generally awarded on a rolling basis in the form of £5,000, £10,000, £15,000 or £20,000 awards. A small amount of larger scholarships are available for highly-exceptional candidates who complete a separate application andattend an assessment day here at the school. Manchester Loyalty Bursary
The following candidates will be eligible for a Manchester Business School Loyalty Bursary: 20% discount on the Full-time MBA programme tuition fee (£40,000 for September 2015 entry)
- If you hold an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from the University of Manchester (or former UMIST).
The Alumni Bursary discount will be applied to the fees remaining after any scholarship has been awarded.
