Activities for parents and supporters

Parents and supporters of undergraduate students play an important role in supporting learners in higher education. We actively encourage you to get involved in our activities and have a positive impact on your son or daughter’s future.

Activities include:

  • undergraduate open days;
  • guided visits for parents of post-application offer-holders;
  • guided campus tours;
  • summer schools and other event celebrations.

Explore University – an event for parents, carers and young learners

Explore University is an annual event, taking place in July, for parents and carers of pupils involved in our different outreach programmes in Manchester.

We'll publish details on next year's event here in due course. In the meantime, for more information about this event or any other activities for parents and supporters of prospective Manchester students, email schoolsandcolleges@manchester.ac.uk.

Career development for Manchester students

Parents and supporters are also welcome to get involved with some of our career development opportunities, to help current students at Manchester find out more about the industry you work in – and perhaps secure future employment.
