Disability Toolkits is a new national online disability resource, conceived and developed by our Careers and Employability Division, providing essential information, advice and resources for students with disabilities, academics and prospective employers. Its aim is to promote and sustain equal opportunities, helping students with disabilities gain work experience that could prove crucial for their future careers.
Information and advice on the disability toolkits website will help university staff to better understand specific needs of students with disabilities and identify suitable placements. Students can find out about opportunities and useful sources of support, with specific information on 'disability-friendly' employers and schemes. Employers can find out about their legal responsibilities, best practice, and sources of funding and support.
