2018 edition of Making Maths at Manchester takes place

80 A-level students attended this year’s Making Maths at Manchester to work on challenging maths problems.

The two-day residential course, which the School of Mathematics runs annually, finished on 10th July.

A-level students from throughout the UK joined us in the Alan Turing Building and worked on a variety of demanding maths problems.

On Monday night, the students had a fun maths talk presented by Ben Sparks followed by watching the 2014 film 'The Imitation Game'. The event concluded with presentations by each team and the awarding of prizes.
