How to apply

Applications for MAP 2018 are now closed. If you've applied for MAP 2018 you'll hear back from us by early February 2018.

MAP application routes

There are two separate application routes to choose from, with different application forms, depending on which subject area you are interested in.

  • Route 1: for applicants who are interested in studying Medicine, Dentistry or Pharmacy.
  • Route 2: for applicants who are interested in studying any other course.

If you do not yet know which course(s) you want to apply for, don't worry, as the advice and guidance available through our Manchester Access Programme will help you to make more informed choices about what you might want to study.

If you are not sure whether you want to apply for Medicine, Dentistry or Pharmacy, it's better to complete our general application form. You cannot apply through both routes. If you submit more than one application we will only accept the last application form you submit.

You should be aware, however, that if you do not declare an interest in Medicine, Dentistry or Pharmacy on your application form, and then decide later to apply for one of these courses, you would not be eligible for a differential offer (of up to a two-grade reduction) towards entry onto one of these courses.
