Facilities

Our facilities are the match of our world-class teaching.

With continuous investment in one of the biggest university libraries in the UK, several specialist libraries and extensive cross-campus IT facilities, we make sure you’ve got everything you need to be successful in your degree.

My Manchester

At registration, all students at The University of Manchester are given a login for My Manchester, an online portal giving you access to all the essentials you will need as a student, including your profile, course details and exam timetables, as well as your University email and documents.

You’ll also have links to news feeds, blogs and social media and access to notices from your academic School.

Research and lab work

Many degree programmes will include a proportion of lab work and we offer world-class facilities to support this. Among our most impressive facilities are the £40 million Integrative Centre for Molecular Cell Biology, the UK’s largest high-voltage laboratory, and Jodrell Bank which houses the famous Lovell Radio Telescope and the Observatory Astronomy Research Centre.

Each Faculty has its own impressive facilities to help support your learning and study which you can find out more about on the Faculty websites.
