UCAS and school/college higher education exhibitions

We meet more than 200,000 aspiring students each year at UCAS and other school/college higher education events, fairs and conventions – and receive applications from talented students from across the UK, and the globe.

Coronavirus notice

We are carefully reviewing all of our recruitment events in light of the developing coronavirus outbreak. View the latest updates on measures we are taking.

Currently all our on and off campus recruitment activity has been suspended until further notice. We'll monitor the situation as it develops and provide updates in due course.

We encourage prospective students – as well as parents, teachers and careers advisers – to visit us at our stand, where we can answer questions about study opportunities at The University of Manchester.

Virtual UCAS events

The University of Manchester usually attends a range of UCAS events throughout the year, where a member of staff or current student ambassador is available for you to speak to. Due to coronavirus, face to face UCAS events are currently postponed, but the University will be taking part in the following virtual UCAS exhibitions in autumn 2020:

  • 30 September – Business, law and finance
  • 16 October – Biological and physical sciences
  • 23-24 October – Social sciences, humanities and teaching
  • 2-3 November – Maths, engineering and computing

You can find more information about virtual UCAS exhibitions on the UCAS website.

Meet the Russell Group Virtual Fair

The University will also be participating in a ‘Meet the Russell Group Virtual Event’ on 7 October. Bookings open on Friday, 4 September 2020.

Visiting schools and colleges

We're carefully reviewing all of our recruitment and outreach events in light of the coronavirus outbreak and UK government advice and you can view the latest updates on the measures we’re taking.

We're currently unable to attend off-campus events such as recruitment fairs, but we have a range of online content to help you learn more about the University.

We have a range of virtual resources and pre-recorded talks for pre and post-16 learners available.

We also have a series of Manchester Live webinars for post-16 learners which offer information, advice and guidance on applying to or studying at the University.

You may also like to request a virtual presentation or Q&A session with us and should you wish to request a virtual session we will do our best to accommodate.

For further information, and for any requests, you can email: schoolsandcolleges@manchester.ac.uk.
