The University of Manchester currently has 64 students who come from Japan. Particularly popular areas of study among our Japanese students include:

Japanese Studies

The University is also home to East Asian Studies which runs programmes for students wishing to study Japanese Language and Culture for UK and international students. Our Japanese Studies students will be keen to meet with you to get an insight into Japanese culture, practise their language skills and make friends!

Scholarship information

Students from Japan may apply for a Chevening Scholarship for taught master's programmes.
