TAI at the International Festival of Public Health
The Thomas Ashton Institute for Risk and Regulatory Research was pleased to attend the International Festival of Public Health, held at The University of Manchester on 14 July 2026. The Festival provides an inclusive platform for researchers, students, professionals and members of the public to share ideas and explore new approaches to improving public health.

Representatives from the Institute, SALIENT and NSEC exhibited throughout the day, engaging with delegates from academia, policy and practice. The event provided a valuable opportunity to showcase the Institute's work in risk and regulatory research, occupational health and safety, and interdisciplinary approaches to addressing complex societal challenges.
As well as sharing information about the Institute's activities, the team met with researchers and practitioners from a wide range of organisations, exploring opportunities for future collaboration and knowledge exchange.
The Festival's 2026 programme focused on a number of important themes, including Global Public Health, Commercial Determinants of Health, Research Inclusion, AI and Public Health, and Women's Health.
