Event description

Each year the University takes part in the Manchester Pride parade – and in 2024, the University’s bicentenary year, celebrations promise to be extra special.

Promoting Manchester as an inclusive place for LGBTQ people to work and study, this year’s entry will be the University’s largest for a number of years, featuring bicentenary artwork, purple University t-shirts, placards, merchandise and more.

The event’s overall theme for all participants is 'Buzzin' To be Queer: A Hive of Progress', and colleagues and students are invited to walk in the parade or join the University in its float.

Simply fill in the sign-up form to state your preference.

Participants are asked to meet on Liverpool Road, off Deansgate, close to the White Lion pub and Roman fort.

More information can be found on the sign-up form, or you can email David Cross with any questions at david.cross@manchester.ac.uk.
