Amrit Dhillon

Amrit is currently the Faculty of Science and Engineering Executive Officer for the University's Students' Union.

Amrit Dhillon

She has recently completed the third of four years of our MEng Mechanical Engineering programme.

Amrit decided to become an Officer for the Students’ Union after discovering inconsistencies in how communications were sent out to students and how feedback was collected. She wanted to be part of the solution, working together with University staff to improve and formalise these processes to improve the overall experience.

As an Officer, her main priorities are to implement more formalised feedback channels within course structures, with the appropriate mechanisms in place to keep students informed of the progress of these changes. This will bring in a level of accountability for University staff and help to build community where more open and honest conversations are promoted.

Amrit’s hobbies include hiking and Bhangra dancing.
