Open Research Digest, October 2026

October 2026 issue now available

We've today published the latest edition of our monthly newsletter, the Open Research Digest. This is your go-to source for news, opportunities and updates on Open Research at the University of Manchester and beyond.

This month we're pleased to share:

  • A spotlight on our Research Indicators service, highlighting how our expert team can support you with bibliometric analysis to better understand the reach and impact of your research, and that of the University as a whole;
  • How we’ll be responding to UKRI’s new research data policy;
  • The launch of this year’s Open Access Monograph competition including how to apply, and celebrating the winners of the 2025-26 competition;
  • An update on our Quarterly Plan, including outcomes and progress from our last Quarter, and our Open Research goals for the Quarter ahead;
  • Reflections from the recent OASPA conference;

as well as our usual features on upcoming training and development opportunities.

We hope you enjoy this month’s issue. Please be aware that access to some University web content may be temporarily disrupted for external users. We apologise for any inconvenience and expect this to be resolved soon.
