Our School of Computer Science provides hands-on training courses in key computing technologies, computer science teaching training, and a portfolio of distance learning programmes.
Health care ethics and law
Our School of Law offers a range of short online courses specifically designed with busy health care professionals in mind. Replacing traditional professional development study days, you can complete these courses in a virtual learning environment and are assessed by short online multiple-choice quizzes.
Our Material Performance Centre offers bespoke courses to industry, either on-site or on University premises. Some courses are also available online.

The Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health is committed to advancing science and improving the lives of others both in the local and global community. This is done via education and training for health professionals and scientists.
CPD courses at the Faculty include full and part-time postgraduate courses, standalone CPD course units, and workshops that draw on the expertise of some of the UK's most respected academics, clinicians and health professionals.
Professionals can update their skills and knowledge in areas such as medicine, healthcare sciences, ophthalmology, nursing, midwifery, dentistry, mental health, audiology, and speech and language therapy.

The National Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) is based at the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health and provides continuing professional development to all 18,500 community pharmacists in England. A network of 90 local tutors assists in this process.
