Opening doors for the next generation of talent
Global Graduates is an award-winning programme, funded by generous alumni donors, that offers transformative international workplace experiences for talented students from low-income backgrounds.
Each June, selected students travel to one of our global host cities for a week of in-depth meetings with alumni working across a range of industries and organisations.
The programme has already helped many students gain invaluable insights into diverse industries and working cultures, developing skills that truly set them apart.
Get involved
Our current host cities are Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, San Francisco, New York and London/Zurich (combined trip).
If you're based in these cities and would be interested in meeting a small group of students to help them gain an insight into your sector and work culture, we'd love to hear from you.
Why take part?
Over 85% of students who have benefited from the programme are from backgrounds where people do not generally go onto a university education. The students who take part in the programme benefit from the experience in multiple ways:
- their aspirations are raised;
- they have opportunities to develop relationships with alumni in a wide range of industries;
- they develop a heightened cultural awareness;
- through the assessment centre-style selection process, they're able to experience the recruitment techniques they will participate in after graduation;
- 86% of previous participants said their first job was to some extent a result of their experience gained from Global Graduates.
What you'll do
- meet with students for an hour during their trip to share your experiences and offer advice about life after graduation. This meeting can take place in your office or at a local coffee shop or restaurant;
- alternatively, some alumni have offered office tours/site visits, hosted lunches or evening dinners, networking events and other opportunities for Global Graduates to gain insights into working environments.
How it fits around you
We'll work with you to find a timeslot to meet the students either in your workplace or a local coffee shop or restaurant.
