Launch of the digital edition of the Mary Hamilton Papers

A digital edition of the Mary Hamilton Papers is now available on Manchester Digital Collections.


A major AHRC-funded project to digitise, transcribe and analyse the letters, diaries and manuscript volumes of courtier, diarist and Bluestocking Mary Hamilton (1756-1816) has now published a digital scholarly edition on Manchester Digital Collections.

The collection unites material held at the John Rylands Research Institute and Library and archives worldwide for the first time:

Explore the royal, aristocratic, literary and artistic social networks of Georgian England through over 1600 digitised items with enhanced browse and filter functionality and transcriptions displayed alongside ultra-high-quality deep zoom images.
