Success for the Legal Advice Centre at the Manchester Legal Awards

Manchester Free Legal Help, part of the Legal Advice Centre, wins Best pro-Bono/Community Initiative at the Manchester Legal Awards 2018.

The School of Law is delighted to announce that Manchester Free Legal Help has won the Pro Bono/Community Initiative award at the 2018 Manchester Legal Awards, the second year in a row that part of the Legal Advice Centre network has won in this category. The service gives free legal advice to litigants in person in family law, immigration and small claims matters. In 2017, the service advised over a thousand litigants in person.

This award is testament to the fantastic work that the staff and volunteers at Manchester Free Legal Help and the Legal Advice Centre network do, giving their time to make a difference and support those in need of legal advice. The School of Law would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved for their hard work, dedication and passion, and to the Manchester Legal Awards for recognising the work that the LAC does.
