School Governor Initiative reaches landmark number
The University of Manchester's School Governor Initiative celebrates reaching 1,000 governors since 2011.
As part of the University's widening participation and social responsibility strategy, we deliver The University of Manchester School Governor Initiative.
The Initiative helps staff and alumni find volunteering placements as governors in local schools through our two partner organisations, Governors for Schools and Inspiring Governance. It also provides a network for University staff working as governors to share best practice, support each other and act as positive ambassadors for the University’s work with schools and colleges.
Started in 2011, the Initiative recently celebrated reaching 1,000 governors.
