Role: Lecturer in Phonetics And Phonology

Tel: 0161 275-6565

My undergraduate degree (Harvard, 2002) was in Linguistics with emphasis in Germanic languages and phonological theory.  Following this, I did research on Swedish dialects of Finland as a visiting Fulbright scholar at the University of Helsinki. I received my Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley (2008) with a fieldwork-based thesis on the phonology and morphology of the Mesoamerican language isolate Huave, and joined the Manchester department in January 2009.
