Dr Ayse Gul Mermer - research
My research interests are Behavioral Economics, Experimental Economics, Game Theory and Industrial Organisation. My research mainly focuses on understanding the behavior of economic agents and addresses the question how agents’ behavior is affected by their preferences, different environments they are facing, their experience and different concerns they have. My research agenda is two-fold: In one line of research I investigate the behavior of agents' in all-pay contests when agents' are loss-averse and how their behavior affects the contest from a design point of view. In another line, I investigate the evolution of cooperation in repeated games when agents face different environments and have different concerns.
