Learners come from all walks of life – hear some of their stories:

Here at the University, we are delighted to be one of the first institutions in the UK to offer this programme.

Why study coding with Manchester?

Where better to study coding than at The University of Manchester – the birthplace of modern computing and home of the world’s first stored-program computer, ‘The Baby’, which was built here in June 1948.

The course will be hosted in the Kilburn Building, home to the first university department of Computer Science (in 1964) and a world-leading pioneer in software and hardware research.

Following on with its rich history in firsts, The University of Manchester is the exclusive provider of this course across the north-west region of the UK.

Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive a certificate of completion from The University of Manchester and a robust portfolio of web applications to showcase their skills to potential employers.
