The cookie holds nothing but a random reference number, such as
a3f9c2e1b8d47f60. Your shortlist itself is held on our server against that
number and is discarded when the session ends. Nothing is recorded against you, and no
record of your shortlist is kept afterwards.
Why we do not ask you to accept it
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, consent is needed for
cookies that are not strictly necessary. This cookie is strictly necessary: without it the
shortlist you build cannot be remembered from one page to the next. Cookies of this kind — the same sort that remember a
shopping basket — do not require consent, but we do have to tell you about them,
which is what this page is for.
Controlling cookies
