Auditing is a practical hands-on process and the skills to be acquired are a mixture of technical and human skills. The course is designed to allow the students to develop these skills progressively in practice through an actual assessment carried out on an industrial site with a host company – Recent hosts have included Eon Power, Corus, Warwick Chemicals and PepsiCo

Discuss the vital role of Maintenance and Asset Management in supporting the achievement of organisational goals. Explain the importance of auditing asset management & maintenance departments

Syllabus

Auditing is a practical hands-on process and the skills to be acquired are a mixture of technical and human skills. The course is designed to allow the students to develop these skills progressively in a staged process via the University’s e-learning platform. The activities in each section build upon previous ones. Finally the students chose an organisation to audit using the tools which they have learned in the module.
