Our MSc in Digital Transformation is a new, innovative programme designed to explore the multifaceted dimension of the digital revolution with the premise to develop future leaders with the expertise to navigate the evolving digital landscape successfully. On this programme you'll delve deep into the strategies, technologies, and organisational change dynamics required to thrive in an era defined by digital disruption.
The core course units at the heart of the programme will encompass a rich array of subject areas that form the foundational pillars by which a career in technology can be built upon. These include, Digital Strategy, Emerging Technologies, Data Strategy and Visualisation, and Change Management.
Our programme fosters a collaborative and innovative learning environment, allowing you to engage in experiential learning opportunities to apply your newfound knowledge and skills to solve complex business problems. Academic entry qualification overview
We require a First or Upper Second class honours degree (2:1, with 60% average) from a UK university or the overseas equivalent.
When assessing your academic record, we take into account your grade average, position in class and the standing of the institution where you studied your qualification.
Fees and funding
Fees
For entry in the academic year beginning September 2026, the tuition fees are as follows:

UK students (per annum): £18,400
International, including EU, students (per annum): £33,100

The fees quoted above will be fully inclusive for the course tuition, administration and computational costs during your studies.
Policy on additional costs
All students should normally be able to complete their programme of study without incurring additional study costs over and above the tuition fee for that programme. Any unavoidable additional compulsory costs totalling more than 1% of the annual home undergraduate fee per annum, regardless of whether the programme in question is undergraduate or postgraduate taught, will be made clear to you at the point of application. How your application is considered
We can only process applications with the following documents:
- valid English Language qualification
- first and second year transcript (scanned copies are accepted at the time of application)
- statement of purpose (this is included as part of your application form, you do not need to email your statement of purpose directly to the Admissions Team)
Deferrals
To defer your offer to the following year, you must contact your admission officer to get a copy of the deferral form. You can only defer your offer for one year.
Re-applications
If you applied in the previous year and your application was not successful you may apply again. Your application will be considered against the standard course entry criteria for that year of entry. In your new application you should demonstrate how your application has improved. We may draw upon all information from your previous applications or any previous registrations at the University as a student when assessing your suitability for your chosen course.

Aims
- Recognise and evaluate the role of leadership in driving and facilitating organisational change.
- Analyse the impact of digital technologies on various industries and sectors, including the implications for business models and the adoption of emerging technologies in diverse settings.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges in digital strategy formulation and implementation within a collaborative team project.
- Design and implement digital strategies and initiatives to enhance organisational operations and supply chains.
- Utilise project management methodologies and tools to plan, monitor and deliver digital transformation projects.

Take one of two pathways, depending on your interests including our unique fintech pathway.
Gain an in-depth understanding of practice and theory in the areas of financial technology (fintech).
Take part in a year-long consultancy project that allows you to apply your studies to tackle real-world business challenges.
Teaching and learning
We adapt teaching practices to reflect the diverse ways in which students learn, by combining traditional lectures with more interactive workshops, self-learning, as well as various aspects of e-learning.
Across the whole programme, the teaching and learning methods are designed to help you develop a sufficiently broad range of transferrable skills, including:
- Regular group discussions to develop interpersonal oral communication skills
- Group projects to develop team-working skills
- Written assessments to develop written communication skills
- E-Learning incorporated into assessment to develop greater levels of confidence in managing your own learning and transferable digital skills
Course unit details
Year-Long Consultancy Project (60 credits)
- Apply what you have learned in the taught part of the course to real-world consultancy projects.
- Acting as consultants, students will be required to work in groups to deliver a comprehensive solution to a complex case study.
- You’ll be working to develop a this project throughout the year.
