Overview

Multiple regression including direct, mediated and moderated forms of analysis.
Methods beyond multiple regression for analysing complex organisational data, including, path analysis and multilevel modelling.
Structural equation modelling using Mplus, including, confirmatory factor analysis, structural models, and model specification, estimation, and assessment of fit.
Becoming a skilled research consumer: Assessing the robustness of research, issues surrounding replication, and meta-analysis.
The design and analysis of workplace interventions.

BMAN71992 Programme Req: BMAN71992 is only available as a core unit to students on MSc Business Psychology and MSc Organisational Psychology

Aims

To provide students with the skills to specify, run, and interpret complex multiple regression models, including mediation and moderation models.
To provide students with the skills to specify, run, and interpret complex structural equation models regression models.
To introduce students to advanced quantitative methods essential for nuanced analysis of organisational data, including meta-analysis and multilevel data analysis.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this unit successful participants will be able to:


• Conduct multiple regression using SPSS
• Conduct confirmatory factor analysis using Mplus
• Conduct structural equation modelling using Mplus
• Understand data imputation
• Understand multilevel data analysis
• Understand meta-analysis
