Fees
Tuition fees for home students commencing their studies in September 2025 will be £9,535 per annum (subject to Parliamentary approval). Tuition fees for international students will be £34,500 per annum. For general information please see the undergraduate finance pages.
Additional expenses
Additional expenses could include UK or foreign field trips. These are subsidised by the University but you still need to contribute to the cost of the field course if you choose to go. Policy on additional costs
All students should normally be able to complete their programme of study without incurring additional study costs over and above the tuition fee for that programme. Aims

Syllabus
This unit will normally include at least 16 hours contact with the Tutor as well as plenary sessions in larger groups. Some small-group sessions may be student-led, and held in the absence of the Tutor. The precise scientific content of this unit will vary between degree programmes. The following may be included:
