Parent and prospective student visiting the university

Open days

Open days give you the chance to find out more about the challenges, opportunities and rewards of academic and social life at The University of Manchester – and explore our bustling campus and exciting city for yourself.

Registration for June open days now closed

If you would like to visit the campus we’ll be opening bookings for our September and October open days in July.

Cancelling your place

If you can no longer attend just unsubscribe from the open day newsletter when you receive it - your booking details will then be removed. If you want to switch your date you don’t need to do anything as your booking is valid for both June dates.

Signing in on the day

You don't need to sign in on the day just head straight to your first session when you arrive on campus. If you need directions or guidance there will be three main information points and our student ambassadors (dressed in purple) will be on hand across campus to answer any questions.

Talks, tours and activities

You don't need tickets for our talks as guests are seated on a first come, first served basis. We do advise arriving early where possible for any talks you are interested in attending.

Our open days are incredibly popular and this means that we may need to limit attendance at some talks, tours and activities to students only or students plus one guest, to ensure as many students as possible have the opportunity to attend sessions. We would like to thank you in advance for your understanding.

Forthcoming open days

  • Saturday, 28 September 2019
  • Saturday, 12 October 2019

Further information on the September and October dates will be available in July.
