Open days

Open days give you the chance to find out more about the challenges, opportunities and rewards of academic and social life at The University of Manchester – and explore our bustling campus and exciting city for yourself.

Coronavirus notice

We are carefully reviewing all of our recruitment events in light of the developing coronavirus outbreak. View the latest updates on measures we are taking.

As we're unable to host on-campus visits, or attend events like UCAS and overseas recruitment fairs, we’re developing some online content to help you learn more about the University and experience our campus, without actually coming here. This will include talks from previous open days, webinars, videos, features and images. We’ll have this live in the coming weeks, so make sure you check back.

What to expect on the day

When you arrive

There's no need to sign-in when you arrive at one of our open days, simply head straight to the first talk or activity on your itinerary, settle in and enjoy!

We recommend you arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the event is due to start.

Ask our student ambassadors for help

There will be more than 150 friendly student ambassadors on hand to help you during each open day.

They will be dressed in purple and ready to point you in the right direction or answer any questions you have.

Information points

There will be three information points on campus, which you can visit throughout the day.

Limited space on selected talks

You're more than welcome to bring a family member or friend along to one of our open days.

If you're attending in a group, please be aware that space on our most popular talks, tours and activities, may be limited to one student or guest from each party.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and helping to make sure as many potential students as possible can experience these events.
