An award-winning play tackling themes of gender based violence

In March, the Martin Harris Centre proudly hosted On Me – an award-winning play by Dangerous To Know theatre company which tackles the urgent themes of Gender Based Violence, female safety and the challenges post-#MeToo relationships.

The performance was followed by an in-depth, passionate and respectful panel discussion featuring Greater Manchester’s Deputy Mayor Kate Green, Christie Webster from the Pankhurst Trust / Manchester Women's Aid, Anne Stebbings of Greater Manchester Rape Crisis, Aisha Akram of the University of Manchester’s Student Union and Reclaim the Night and Carolina Hinojosa of the Salford Foundation.

Dangerous to Know are currently fundraising for their next project Silent Approach – a play which explores our treatment of individuals in mental health crisis, and discusses how none of us are immune to mental health struggles.

For more information on the project and to donate, please visit their spacehive fundraising page.

You can also follow the company’s profiles on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
