Local Government 25 Top Thinker – Liz Richardson
Local Government Information Unit announces Liz Richardson as top 25 thinker.
Liz Richardson, who leads the Politics department at the School of Social Sciences, has been recognised as one of the top 25 thinkers by the Local Government Information Unit (LGIU).
The list features leaders who are finding solutions to some of the world’s biggest problems. Professor Richardson focuses on creating more democratic and participatory ways of doing politics by working with academics, practitioners, and citizens. She is also interested in new research methods that involve people in the research process.
The LGIU has released its first-ever list of 25 top thinkers after launching the Future Local Lab, a programme designed to help local governments tackle global challenges and make the most of new technologies, including addressing climate change.
