Open Research Digest, October 2025

This month’s issue features a contribution from Fred Breese, Open Research Analytics Architect, who provides a spotlight on the Library’s Research Indicators service. Fred highlights a recent update to the Research Indicators Gateway, and the Library’s continued commitment to supporting responsible use of research metrics. 

We also share updates from across the University and beyond, including reflections on the UK Data Stewardship Network launch event in Birmingham, and the introduction of a new collection of Open Research case studies which showcase the diverse and innovative ways UoM researchers are integrating openness in their work. 

There’s an opportunity to get involved in an RLP project trialling Electronic Research Notebooks and Inventories, and we highlight upcoming My Research Essentials training and online resources from the Office for Open Research—including the next Managing and sharing research data from human participants on 25 November.
