Planning fee payments to fit in with your visa application

It’s important to plan your fee payments for your study at The University of Manchester.

If you’re an international student undertaking a one-year taught master’s course, you will be required to pay a non-refundable tuition fee deposit before an electronic Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) can be issued.

If you’re not required to pay a deposit, you can still make an early payment of your fees if you find this more convenient. If you’re planning to make a pre-payment of fees before applying for a visa, please be aware of the processing time required for payments to be reflected in your CAS.
The following table outlines the approximate processing time needed for payments to be reflected in your CAS:

*24 August 2018 is the last date on which a prepayment made by overseas bank transfer can be receipted and automatically reflected in your CAS. Please be aware that cheques or banker's drafts sent by post from overseas after 1 August may not reach the University in time to be processed and reflected in your CAS before your visa appointment.
