Overview

This course considers a wide spectrum of issues central to organisational behaviour and behavioural change from the various perspectives of the stakeholders involved.

BMAN72242 Programme Req: BMAN72242 is only available as an elective to students on MSc Business Psychology and MSc Organisational Psychology

Aims

The aim of this course is to introduce students to a broad range of theories relating to organisational behaviour and organisational change and their practical application.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course students should be able to:

Explain the current theoretical approaches relating to key issues in organisational behaviour and behavioural change.

Identify the factors which facilitate and/or inhibit particular behaviour and change at the individual, group and organisational level.

Apply these concepts and theories in an organisational setting and to advise organisations accordingly.

Assessment methods

3 hour written examination (100%).

Formative Assessment: Online tests and webinars.

Feedback methods

Informal advice and discussion during a lecture, seminar, workshop or lab.

Responses to student emails and questions from a member of staff including feedback provided to a group via an online discussion forum.

Written and/or verbal comments on assessed or non-assessed coursework.
