Overview

Research dissertations consist of: 

  • The articulation of a set of research questions; 
  • A discussion of methodology; 
  • A literature review of relevant areas of existing research; 
  • The presentation of the research results or data; 
  • An analysis of the findings 

Translation dissertations consist of: 

  • The student’s translation of a literary, commercial, scientific, technical or institutional text; 
  • A critical analysis, i.e. a theoretically informed and evidence-based reflection on the student’s own translation.
