PhD Condensed Matter Physics / Application and selection

Year of entry: 2020

How to apply

Overseas (non-UK) applicants

For overseas PhD applicants interested in GRAPHENE research who require funding, we can only consider candidates who pass through GRE tests (both General and Physics) and score on average no less than 70%.

If you have reached this mark, please apply using our online system and e-mail a copy to the relevant academic staff. Your application will be given careful consideration.

Unfortunately, our academic staff are not able to answer other e-mail enquiries about PhD positions.

Re-applications

If you applied in the previous year and your application was not successful you may apply again. Your application will be considered against the standard course entry criteria for that year of entry. In your new application you should demonstrate how your application has improved. We may draw upon all information from your previous applications or any previous registrations at the University as a student when assessing your suitability for your chosen course.
