We have a tradition of producing high quality doctoral research. Many of our graduates hold academic positions in top universities and public agencies around the world. Graduates will be well-prepared to pursue academic and research careers in science and technology studies, policy and public administration, and interdisciplinary centres linking science, engineering, medicine, environment, energy and related fields with public, societal, and policy domains. Graduates may also pursue careers with think tanks, government, non-profits, or industry.

The University has its own dedicated Careers Service that you would have full access to as a Postgraduate Researcher and for two years after you graduate. At Manchester you will have access to a number of opportunities to help support you with your goals for the future.
