At Manchester, our admissions decisions are made at School-level. Our academic Schools have assessed the suitability of each T-Level qualification for admission to the University – you can find this in the selection criteria of each course or programme.
Applicants must be appropriately prepared to cope with the demands of our courses and programmes. Sometimes subject-specific knowledge is required, and this may not be covered sufficiently within the T-Level.

Additional qualifications
Level 3 qualifications
We understand it is unlikely that you will be studying an additional level 3 qualification (such as A Levels) while studying a T-Level qualification, due to the T-Level size and structure.
Therefore we have decided not to set entry requirements that require a T-Level and an additional level 3 qualification for courses where a T-Level alone is not suitable.
However, you may have previously achieved an additional level 3 qualification or chosen to study towards one alongside your T-level. Where this is the case, your portfolio of qualifications may be suitable for entry.
GCSEs
In addition to a T-Level qualification, you'll need a minimum of Grade C/4 in level 2 English Language and Mathematics (GCSE). Some of our courses require additional GCSEs in specific subjects and/or with higher grades. You can find the GCSE requirements in the selection criteria for each course/ programme.
Wave 4 T-Levels
We’ll review the acceptability of Wave 4 of the T-Level qualifications and continue to monitor selection criteria to ensure we’re attracting the most talented students, regardless of their educational background.
