The BEng Aerospace Engineering provides students with a basic preparation for professional careers in the aerospace and more general engineering industry. Our graduates have gone on to work in design, development, testing and operation of vehicles and systems, as well as in other areas, such as research, management, technical development and finance. The course is accredited by RAeS and the IMechE and provides graduates with the necessary undergraduate qualifications for those interested in achieving Chartered Engineering status.
The process to become a Chartered Engineer has three stages:
1. The Educational Base (MEng, or BEng with MSc)
2. Initial Professional Development
3. Professional ReviewGraduates on this BEng (Hons) course will therefore need further learning equivalent to masters level for Chartered status, via an approved or accredited MSc, transfer to an MEng course, or other further learning, such as part of a structured training programme in the workplace.
