On this course, Mechanical Engineering is studied in conjunction with Management - encompassing additional project management, finance, and risk management skills to prepare you for the technical, practical and business demands of your future in engineering.

Accrediting organisations

Every Mechanical Engineering course at the University of Manchester is fully accredited by IMechE.

After completing your MEng (Hons), you will have attained the full Educational Base for Chartered Engineer Status (CEng), which renders you eligible for the European Ingenieur (EUR ING).

There are three steps to achieving Chartered Engineer status:

  2. Initial Professional Development
  3. Professional Review
