First dental school in the UK to introduce clinical outreach teaching
Why study Dentistry at Manchester?
Our courses prepare you for a career as either a dentist (BDS degree) or as a dental hygienist/therapist (BSc Oral Health Science).
We combine the study of dental sciences with extensive clinical experience, starting from early in the first year. You will learn in a dental hospital based on campus and you’ll also put theory into practice at our community outreach clinics.
You may study for an intercalated BDS degree, where you can achieve a BSc award in a related subject.
A foundation year option is available if you don’t have the appropriate science qualifications for direct entry.
