Why study History at Manchester?
Our courses cover almost all of human history, including British, European, American, Asian and African history, and range from the classical era (Greece and Rome), through the medieval to the late 20th century. We offer a variety of approaches to history, from political and economic history, to gender, social, cultural, and world history.
You’ll draw on key Manchester collections including Chetham’s Library, the People’s History Museum, the Ahmed Iqbal Race Relations Resource Centre and the Working-Class Movement Library.
