Science and Engineering International Excellence Awards
The Faculty of Science and Engineering is proud to offer scholarships to students from selected countries starting their studies with us in 2025.
The award
The Science and Engineering International Excellence Awards are open to fee-paying undergraduate students from Bangladesh, Botswana, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, Vietnam, Zimbabwe.
There are 21 awards for £5,000 per year of study (up to four years), awarded to the highest performing applications. Awards will be made based on the UCAS application and most recent academic qualification results. Awardees will be contacted after registration in Semester 1.
Who's eligible?
To be considered, you need to:
- be an international fee-paying, self-funded student from one of the countries listed above;
- hold an offer of a place for a full-time undergraduate course in the Faculty of Science and Engineering;
- have accepted this offer and made The University of Manchester your firm choice on UCAS by the end of June;
- maintain a 60% average performance each year of your degree;
- ensure you're fully registered on the degree course as a new student.
There'll be no separate application form. All eligible international students who hold an offer of a place within the Faculty of Science and Engineering will automatically be considered for a scholarship.
The awards are also open to students completing a foundation year.
Payment will not be made during the Industrial Experience Year.
