The University of Manchester – GREAT scholarships 2022

If you're considering a postgraduate degree in the UK, then a GREAT scholarship can help.

GREAT scholarships are jointly funded by The University of Manchester with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign and the British Council.

We're offering £10,000 towards tuition fees for one-year master’s programmes in specific subject areas to students from India and Nigeria, who will enrol in the 2022/23 academic year.

Four scholarships are available and applications will open to relevant offer-holders on 25 October 2021. A scholarship application form will be emailed to all relevant offer-holders by the International Office

Applications close on 1 June 2022.

How will I receive my scholarship?

The University of Manchester GREAT scholarships will be awarded in the form of a partial fee waiver.

What's the eligibility criteria?

Please note that applicants should be passport holders of India or Nigeria.

What are the key dates I need to be aware of?

Scholarships can only be awarded to applicants who have:

  • received a conditional or unconditional offer to study at The University of Manchester by 1 June 2022;
  • submitted a scholarship application form by 1 June 2022.

The scholarship application form will be emailed to all relevant offer-holders by the International Office.

Successful applicants will be notified by 17 June 2022 and will be required to firmly accept their offer of a place by 30 June 2022 in order to confirm their scholarship.
