Course overview
- Gain the skills to return to social work if you are a previously registered social workers who have not been registered with Social Work England for between 2 and 5 years.
- Successful completion of the course will enable social workers to apply to re-register with Social Work England and return to qualified practice.
- Learn about key aspects of contemporary social work practice, including key changes in policies, legislation and research.
- Undertake a supervised placement in a practice setting so you can re-familiarise yourself in the workplace.
- Work with employers to prepare for qualified social work positions.
Course dates
Refresher days: 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th April and 22th May 2024.
Placement: a 10-day placement between the dates of 22nd April and 22nd May 2024.
Policy on additional costs
All students should normally be able to complete their programme of study without incurring additional study costs over and above the tuition fee for that programme. Any unavoidable additional compulsory costs totalling more than 1% of the annual home undergraduate fee per annum, regardless of whether the programme in question is undergraduate or postgraduate taught, will be made clear to you at the point of application.
