- 2:2 honours degree or above in economics or a related subject, with a minimum of 50% content directly related to economics (if you are unsure, please contact us to discuss your qualifications).
- 104 UCAS points at A Level including B in Economics and ideally an A Level/BTEC in Business. C will be considered if you have further study in Economics, Business or relevant work experience
- Minimum grade C or 4 at GCSE (or equivalent) in English language and mathematics.

Course overview
Train to teach Business Education across the 14 to 19 age range through a school-led partner route.
- Prepare for a career as a secondary Business Education teacher and gain recommendation for Qualified Teacher Status.
- Learn in Greater Manchester through University-based training and extended school experience with a Lead Programme Partner.
- Develop practical classroom confidence through a modified PGCE timetable with increased contact in your partner school.

Open days
The University holds regular events throughout the year, including webinars and the annual on-campus Master’s Expo, all of which offer the opportunity to find out more about our facilities and courses from our academic and admissions staff.

Fees for entry in 2027 have not yet been set. For reference, the fees for the academic year beginning September 2026 were as follows:

Policy on additional costs
All students should normally be able to complete their programme of study without incurring additional study costs over and above the tuition fee for that programme. Any unavoidable additional compulsory costs totalling more than 1% of the annual home undergraduate fee per annum, regardless of whether the programme in question is undergraduate or postgraduate taught, will be made clear to you at the point of application. - tax-free bursary or scholarship;
- tuition fee loan and maintenance loan;
- extra financial support if you're a parent or have an adult dependant or a disability.
