The LLM Transnational Dispute Resolution equips you with specialist knowledge for careers centred on cross-border litigation and arbitration. Our graduates go on to work in areas such as:

  • international arbitration and litigation teams in global law firms;
  • work as counsel or in case-management at leading arbitration institutions such as the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, the International Chamber of Commerce, or the London Court of International Arbitration.
  • investment-dispute and trade-law divisions of government departments and inter-governmental bodies;
  • in-house dispute-resolution and compliance teams at multinational corporations;
  • advocacy and advisory positions in NGOs focused on business and human rights.

You will also build highly transferable skills in legal research, evidence evaluation, contract drafting, negotiation and award enforcement – opening opportunities across sectors including:

  • risk management and consultancy;
  • corporate social responsibility and ESG compliance;
  • international business development and regulatory affairs;
  • academia and further legal research.
