Course overview

  • Study the unique human faculty of language, investigate world languages and develop transferable skills in quantitative methods.
  • Gain advanced linguistic skills in Mandarin Chinese and explore the culture, history and politics of China.
  • Spend a year in China to consolidate your language learning.
  • This course is designed for students whose level of Mandarin Chinese at entry ranges from complete beginner to approximately A Level Standard. It is not suitable for students whose first language is Chinese.
