Entrepreneurial learning at Manchester
Within its programme offering, The University of Manchester gives students the opportunity to develop enterprise and entrepreneurship skills alongside their core studies.
Being an entrepreneur is more than just starting your own business, so our optional course units – built into all of our degrees – focus on helping students develop the key skills and mindset to be adaptive and innovative graduates, ready to make a difference in their chosen field.
Masood Entrepreneurship Centre
The University’s Masood Entrepreneurship Centre offers course units to students from any subject background. The units allow students to apply their subject knowledge and other areas of interest in a commercial context, identify opportunities and develop these ideas into actions. No prior study or experience in this area is necessary, making it accessible to all.
We also encourage continued learning through a series of additional activities in the areas of social innovation and enterprise. These include inspiring events, business start-up competitions, skills development, workshops and start-up support. By focusing on developing an entrepreneurial mindset, we help students take away transferable skills that they can apply to their studies and a future career path.
