Top tips for your open day

Ahead of the open days we’d like to share our top five tips for getting the most out of the your visit.

1. Plan your journey

We advise to use public transport where possible as parking is extremely limited on campus. For those travelling via Piccadilly we have a free link bus to our Oxford Road campus.

2. Choose your sessions

Go through the programme and decide which subject sessions you want to go to. Try and fit in a visit to a general information session around your subject sessions. You can view or download the programme on the main open days page.

3. Split the sessions between your group

Decide which members of your group will go to which session. Some of our sessions can get very busy, and we may have to limit entry to one student and one guest, so arrive early to get a place. The same will apply to our accommodation tours.

4. Know what you want to ask us

Write a list of questions to ask our staff and students. That way you won’t forget important details when you get here. The open day is a great opportunity to speak and interact with our staff and students and this may help you decide what you want to study at university.

5. Have fun!

We are really looking forward to meeting you and we have lots of fun activities scheduled around campus, which will keep you entertained between sessions. In addition, ensure you make time to experience the city of Manchester, as choosing where to study is as important as choosing what to study.
