The University of Manchester – GREAT scholarships 2021
In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, we're offering postgraduate scholarships for students from selected countries.
The University of Manchester is offering scholarships ranging in value from £10,000 to £14,625 for eligible students.
To be considered, you must hold a conditional or unconditional offer for a master's course at The University of Manchester (September 2021 start date).

GREAT scholarships for a Sustainable Future
These scholarships are designed to widen access to climate change courses in the UK and create a cohort of young spokespeople for positive change. Please note that additional selection criteria apply and are detailed in the eligibility and selection criteria document.
How will I receive my scholarship?
The University of Manchester GREAT scholarships will be awarded in the form of a partial fee waiver.

Please note that applicants should be passport holders of China, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Egypt, Mexico, Ghana, Indonesia, Nigeria or Kenya.
What are the key dates I need to be aware of?
- Scholarships can only be awarded to applicants who have received an offer to study at The University of Manchester by 30 April 2021.
- For scholarships in the Faculty of Science and Engineering, you must complete the Faculty of Science and Engineering scholarship application form by 30 April 2021. This will be emailed to all relevant offer-holders in due course. For all other scholarships, offer-holders will automatically be considered for the scholarship, there is no separate application form.
- Awarding schools/faculties will decide on scholarship allocation by 17 May 2021;
- Successful applicants will be notified by 17 May 2021;
- Selected candidates will be required to firmly accept their offer of a place by 31 May 2021 in order to confirm their scholarship;

For all other scholarships, offer-holders will automatically be considered for the scholarship, there is no separate application form.
